Default 5.0 motor in 1970

what year mustang 5.0s can you fit in a classic. i was thinking about putting in a 5.0 fuel injected motor out of an early 90s mustang and 5 speed manual trans. can this be done without major modification? i saw a 70 convertible witha fuel injection 5.0done but the guy didnt do the job so he didnt know what all was done to install it into the shelby.

Any 5.0 /302 will fit into any Mustang with certain issues.

For your speciffic swap (assuming the car is already a V-8) you will need an oil pan, oil pump pickup, (off your old engine is fine), the original computer from the donor car along with hood wiring harness, 50 oz imballanceFlywheel, Cable or Hyd Clutch, trans mount, etc.

Check out James W's website... Lot of info there for this.
