Anybody got or know someone with a 1966 Blue Pony interior.
I want to convert my standard blue to the Pony blue & white. I love the pony seats design & colors.
I'm not trying to be concours correct, I just want to get mine close enough to look tasteful.

My questions are:

Dash pad color - I only see one shade of blue dash pad in the catalogs, so does the 66 Pony use a medium blue one same as the standard?

Carpet color - I only see medium blue listed for 1966 so I guess it was same carpet in both interiors?

Metal dash color - was it white or light blue?
If it was supposed to be white, how do think it would look to leave mine light blue like it is now?

Door metal - light blue just like the standard?

Seat belts - light or medium blue?


Did the pony have light blue & white seats & doors but a darker blue dash pad & carpet?
I know the back seat side panels were different & also the kickpanels but I will just leave my existing ones in place for those.

I've been looking at blue Mustangs on Car Domain & may have my answers.

Looks like the pony interior did use the darker blue dash pad & carpet.
Dash & steering column are painted white, door is painted light blue.
No idea on the seat belt color, probably the medium blue like the dash pad & carpet.

If that is wrong please let me know.

I think I'll go ahead & do my version of a restomod blue pony interior.
