i got a new crank dampner from summit i'm going to be installing, i have the C4 transmission, tossing back in the old wheel and such, but this dampner came with little weights, am i supposed to add any or what?
And technically it's an absorber, not a dampener. But that's a scientific nomenclature issue. Fluidamprs are the only balancers I'm aware of that actually are dampeners rather than absorbers. And technically the shock absorbers on your car are dampeners, and not absorbers. I think physicists are the only ones that care. And me.
Your engine is most likely not internally balanced, therefore you should use the 28 oz counter weight. It should bolt on to the back side if I'm not mistaken.
