crank dampner uhm..

Default crank dampner uhm..

i got a new crank dampner from summit i'm going to be installing, i have the C4 transmission, tossing back in the old wheel and such, but this dampner came with little weights, am i supposed to add any or what?

need to make sure you run the 28oz weights if your running the vintage motor or the 50 oz if its a late model motor

And technically it's an absorber, not a dampener. But that's a scientific nomenclature issue. Fluidamprs are the only balancers I'm aware of that actually are dampeners rather than absorbers. And technically the shock absorbers on your car are dampeners, and not absorbers. I think physicists are the only ones that care. And me.

Got a link for the balancer you bought?

Your engine is most likely not internally balanced, therefore you should use the 28 oz counter weight. It should bolt on to the back side if I'm not mistaken.

I read this in the installation directions. Unless you want that nice puppy to rust follow the directions and paint it.
