Default steering help!

Ok so I've kind been thinking and had my heart set on a power rack and pinion unit for the mustang but I realize it might not be the right thing. First I have an I6 mustang and can't use the correct pump for a rack and pinion with it. I was told I can use my p/s pump that is on there (I have p/s which is very rare for the '66) but that it won't work that good with the rack. I have to be honest it doesn't work very well at low speed anyway. So I was thinking maybe a manual rack would be the way to go. Does the manual racks really feel like power steering and how does it do at low speed? What is a good manual rack to buy? I was told Randall's rack was the best, but I also understand you will lose some turning radius. Is there a rack and pinion that will at least keep the stock turning radius? I understand TCP keeps the stock turning radius- is this correct? I understand there is nothing out there that will improve turning radius or am I mistaken that there is something that would improve it?? Any ideas or advice would be appreciated. If there is a kit, I'd possibly like to use the flaming river tilt column also, but haven't heard the best about their racks. Apparently though they have a newer style one that is out and is supposed to be better so if anyone can comment on that I'd also appreciate it. Thanks!
