Default RE: would you rebuild my C4?

I would definitely rebuild it if has been sitting 20 years.
You spend maybe $800 to get it done. If you do spend the extra $$ for upgraded shift kit, clutches and band.

Look at it this way.
You already ponied up for a crate motor. If you just bolt it up and run it how long until you want to turn the motor loose? You might just end up with a new crate motor attached to a fried C-4. Then what's it going to cost you with new HARD parts like a torque converter and pump plus a rebuild...maybe TWICE that.

Jusy my 0.02. FWIW.
