hood scoops

Default hood scoops

well i got a new stock hood for my '66 because the fiberglass one fit like crap and the stock hood i had was rusty and bent up

but i think the stock hoods take away from aggressive look..so i'm going to add a scoop

what's everyones favorite scoops??? pics would help

But if you can't get that hood I'd go with a Shelby GT350 scoop, it's what I have on my hood and it looks great. I did the bolt on scoop so I had to drive holes in my hood and I also have to put foam strip between it and the hood to close the gap a little more, but I haven't gotten around to that yet.

I prefer reverse cowls. Find someone who does glasswork and have them glass on a cowl.

I like the GT350 look. You can bolt it on or glue with epoxy and smooth it. Heck they hang quarter panels with that stuff nowdays. It is awesome stuff.

Cowl hoods are for Chevrolets IMO

Those GT500 scoops are bad arsss. I am partial to the 69-70 Mach 1 scoops, but for early mustangsthe 500sare my favorite.
