Default distributor for 70 stang

I went to pick up shocks today for my stang. I was offered a new distributor with electronic ignition already built in. He told me that means i would not have to deal with "points". It came off of a 1967 fastback that he decided to restore to a shelby clone and thats why he has the parts. Is it worth the money to get this and is it better or what not? He said 80 dollars.

You can pick up a brand new Pertronix unit for much less than that. Unless your distributor is toast for some reason, I'd pass.

What kind of distributor is it? Was it a factory Dizzy piece or an aftermarket? Is it really brand new or newly rebuilt?

80.00 for a brand new distributor ready to go is not a bad price at all.
