I searched and looked at hundreds of cars, but I should have kept looking rather than getting too excited when I found one that seemed right.
That's my problem; I get all giddy when I think I found one and I just want to pull the trigger and get it. But, I'm taking everyone's advice and I'm going to avoid buying without seeingwhich ever one,in person.

Would it be out of place to take a hammer and "knock" on the floorpans, frames, etc to see if they are solid?
That's what I was like to. But if I hadn't of been patient I'd have a C-code 289 with a 3 speed (not that there's anything wrong with that), instead of a mild 302 with a 4 speed. Just be patient, you'll find something.

I would knock them with chipping hammers and pull up carpet and really get into it. Do this before you discuss price. Do not put up with crap and walk away if you get any grief about it.

Wow, I did a search for Mustang classified ads and found this website!

At first glance these cars appear to be somewhat overpriced, but every car on here comes with a $100.00 gift certifficate from Applebees.
