Default Tires

I have to get some new tires for my '65. Does anybody have any opinions on which ones I should get. I was thinking some Toyo Eclipses or maybe Toyo Proxes. I need all seasons. What do you guys think?

On an unrelated note: happy b-day to me, finally turned 18.

Kumho ASX's are decent cheap tires. They're actually harder than most other similar sport tires (ie. Sumitomo HTR+), so they tend to last a little longer.

If you want real performance oriented tires, see if you can find some BFG G-Force Sport tires that will fit. Amazing tires for the price, but don't expect a lot of life out of them.

If you don't drive that hard (most people don't) and want your tires to last longer, BFG Traction T/A's are the way to go. They handle well, will last a good 50-60k if you take care of them (tire pressure, rotations, etc), and they're prohibitively expensive.Plus you get Michelin quality control (Michelin owns BFG). You may alsolook at some of the T and H rated Toyos and Yokohamas.

I have BFG Radial T/A's on my 67fb. They look awesome, as only Radial T/A's can, but technologically they're an inferior tire. Dry traction is mediocre, wet traction is poor at best. When I get around to wheels and tires, I'm switching to G-Force Sports

I have had good luck with both the Toyo Proxes & Yokohama AEGIS LS4. They both have good treadlife and and are nice tires.

I'm running Bridgestone Potenza G009's, all season and do really well in ice/snow. They're reasonably sticky and hold the road well, and actually keep my rear planted on the street(mostly) when I jump on it in 1st. A bit noisy, but so far I'm impressed by their performance.

Well, I decided to get the Toyo Eclipses and they're awesome. They ride excellent and are a lot quiter than my last tires (Federals). Thanks for your suggestions guys.
