WE did the Granada swap on your '65 via the piece-it-together-yourself method. Used a stock manual '74 Maverick dual chamber master cylinder and they work like a champ. The manual MC gives us a better 'feel' forbraking.

Hi,

I just completed the swap on my 1968 302 with the CSRP kit. I must say it completely delivered on expectations. The stopping power with the single piston caliper is FAR better than what I had with drums.

However I didn't drive over 60MPH with it yet. Today was actually the first test on the expressway, next is freeway ;-)

A few words about the kit:

It came fast after my order and is really complete. I only had to buy pre-fabricated brake lines and brake fluid on top of it.

I followed the instructions and it was pretty easy to put together with a couple email exchanges with Dennis who provided great and fast support.

After I striked my older spindles hard enough to separate the lower ball joints, the rest of the mechanical was a total no brainer.

The plumbing was a little more challenging. Getting the hard lines properly aligned to the connection and the flare not to leak. I must say I had to redo more than once despite the pre-fabricated flare.

A couple pictures.

They are what they are. They are 70s brake technology. If you're wanting bigger rotors and dual or quad piston, or even 6 piston brakes, then there are more expensive aftermarket selections.

I have Granada brakes and they are just fine for street cars as Nick said.

i was going restomod so i went big on my brakes ive got about 2k even for the both the front and rear a little overkill though for most the csrp will be the way to go

didnt you guys use the granda swap on your stang cpr? i think the mag said u did, and since you have a powerful motor.... how well do they work?
yea we did. Stoping in the 1/8 mile from 100mph it stops great but it also has rear disc brakes.

I also don't think there is overkill on safety. GO BIG OR GO HOME

Just remember bigger brakes aint always best on a street car you'll have to run a street pad to keep them hot enough to work fully.Down side is your pads don't last as long.I read a magazine article a while back they had 2 miatas just a like but one had bigger brakes 60-0 stops with cold brakes the stock step up did better but on the track the big brakes gave the car a better lap time.
