Default 64.5 Steering

Hello all, This is my first post but I have been reading numerous posts on this forum for sometime now. I just came into a 64.5 Convertible with the 289 and have decided to do a resto mod on it.

My question concerns whether or not I should put a new rack and pinion steering in or add power steering, or both? Or just leave stock? I will be putting the coilover suspension from Global west on it in the front, and want to do this right.

This will be a daily driver.

Thanks again for the knowledge.

If you go R&P you probabaly wont need PS.

Im running a flaming river steering box with no PS and its fine. i'm pretty sure youll be fine with a manual R&P setup

Thanks for the input Gun, I just checked out their website and they look like they have some bulletproof stuff. No wonder you recommend them.

One question? They all come with a steering column? Can I reuse the one I currently have? Or does it have to have a new one since it is changing the steering?

Thanks again for the help
