Default '67 Steering

Ok, so my '67 Mustang was originally a 200ci stright 6. The guy before me swapped in the 302ci I have now, but never changed the steering gearbox. As of now it has a 16:1 ratio. The '65 and '66's came with a 22:1 ratio, which I want. I was wondering if i could get the box for the '65 and '66 and have it bolt right up with no problems or would there be some mods I have to make? I think it'll bolt right up but beforeI go spend money on oneI want to make sure.I'm trying to stay away from power steering, way expensive. Thanks.

Why do you want a 22:1 steering box?

Why in the name of all thats holy wold you want to use a slower gearbox??? The '65's used a 19:1 and the GT's used a 16:1. The 16:1 is a much faster bearbox. The turning response is quicker. The lock to lock isunder 4 turns where as the 19:1 is over 4-1/2 turns. But if you have your heart set on slow response then get a 19:1, but if you want positive quicker stearing, then stick with the 16:1.

As of now it's VERY difficult to turn the wheel from a dead stop, I wanted to fix that with a 19.9:1 ratio or a 22:1 ratio

So it will bolt right up no problems?
