Default Have a 73 front valance ?

The front valance on my car met an untimely demise with a wheel lift on a tow truck. I bought an oem used replacement. The problem I have is the new one has a a bend in it where the bumper brackets come thru. Is the valance supposed to be smooth in this area? Any help or pics would be appreciated.

hey, so sorry about not getting the pics up when i said i would, cant seem to find the digital camera. i did take a look under mine though, and as far as i can tell, there isnt a "bend" in it as far as i can see...there are little dimples where the bolts rest, but i dont think that is what you mean. if have a pic already online, i could look at it too.

Thank you for the pics. They answered my question to a T. I straightned it today and started striping the paint. hopefully I will have it done in a week or so (doing it at work when I have some down time) and have one more finished part towards the project.
