Default Challenger

So i know that this is place for us pony car guys to sit around and shoot the s**t on how much we love our cars but i was curious as to how everyone felt about the new 08 Challenger. Personally I'm a lover of almost any muscle car and drool over any well built one at a car show so needless to say i can't get enough of them. I don't know if theyre going to be at dealerships because all I keep hearing about are them being sold at auctions and people pre-ordering them. All i know is if they do go out to dealerships, I can't wait to test drive one. So what do you guys think?

I'm gonna get flamed for this but ....

I'd buy a new Challenger before the new Camaro or even the new Mustangs.

Flame suit on .....

I like the new retro muscle. Out of those, I like the Challenger the best, then the Camaro and then the Mustang. I think I have seen too many of the new Mustangs to make them my top pick.

The Challenger is going to be awesome, aside from lacking a m/t.

It's a massive area of plain rubbish lookign plastic
I have no better ideas on to improve, but that's teh part where I say ... nah ....

I think the ONLY thing we will ever see out of mopar worthy of our attention is the viper. and viper truck.

They had a very good opportunity with the Prowler but a auto v6? from the sebring line.
If they had taken the 5.7 from the truck it would have been a beast!
The magnums and chargers nbd my wifes 04 gt dusts them.
My 07 dts destroys them on the highway.

Wouldnt it be awesome to see the viper engine as a option on these things?
Other than the Shelby stangs and the Camaro seems to be the only other thing out with any ***** to it right now as far as the old
Muscle car namesake from detroit.

Came to mind how cool would it be to have the discontinued gt drive train put into a 2 door version of the failing Ford 500?
They could call it the Fairlane 500GT! I want one right now!
Now where did I lay that check for 7 milll............... find that and ill just build me own version.
