IMO they did an excellent job on the exterior styling of the new Challenger, but left the interior and drivetrain lacking. The interior is too boring and you just can't have a muscle car with an automatic, other than that I'd say it's pretty cool.

Those seem to be the 2 biggest gripes, are the lack of manual/LSD the first year and the plane jane interior. It doesn't exactly stand out.

Why the hell can't you have an automatic in a muscle car? The fastest cars I've ever seen all had automatics.

Its fine to have one as an option, but most people buy this kind of car to have fun driving it, and it is simply more fun to drive a manual (in my opinion and lots of other ppls). If dodge had offered a M/T and a limited slip and maybe made the interior a little nicer, this would be an awesome car. hands down.

Aside from 64.5-73 Mustangs, '55 and '63 T-Birds and a '59 Galaxie Fairlane, I really wouldn't go for Fords anymore. They just don't do it the same. Instead of concentrating on quality, they concentrate on building more and fasterthan Japanese auto makers. Unfortunately, the Japanese people as a whole take more pride in every aspect of their lives than Americans and that is what makes theyir cars farmore reliablethan ours.

My turn in the flame suit.[/ziiiiiiiiip]

I've had my 2005 Mustang almost 3 years, driving it every day in all weather and it has never been back to the shop...not once...not even for tune. Everything works like the day I got it. My sister-in-law's Corolla has paint problems, it rattles, and the headliner fell out.

I like the looks of it but it need a real hemi not that 5.7/6.0 small block they glued the name hemi on it.Dodge needs to spend money on there trucks they have the lowest towing weight of its classes and is the highest priced too.
