BROKEN CABLE CLUTCH CABLE!!
well took the car to the Gym today for the first time after working on it for the last 6 weeks nonstop, couple of friends wanted to check it out so we went out to the car and they wanted to hear it so i went to start it up and when i pushed the clutch peddle there was a loud snap and the peddle went to the floor. the cable that comes thru the firewall and connects to the top of the clutch peddle snapped off. (very embarrasing to say the least because i was outside the side of the gym that was all windows!!!! my question is how hard to fix this??? is there a way to upgrade it when i do fix it??
is this a t5 your running? with the cable setup? if so and its the same as a stock t5 cable then go to the autoparts store pick one up for a 87-93 stang and put it in
dont know what kind is on there now! i have only had the car for 4 months. it snapped off the top of the peddle. whatever cable was there has dissapeared through the firewall. what is the best cable to replace it with??
Does the top of the pedal under the dash look like this shiny Z bracket, and the front under hood have this plate? If so, then it looks like you'll have to order a replacement from Modern Driveline.

after a closer look today under the dash i can see that the cable did not break off the clutch peddle!! it is still intact, but the peddle just falls to the floor. is the tension on the peddle due to the cable?? meaning did the cable snap at the bellhousing end or maybe somewhere in the cable itself or did something break in under the dash which creates the peddle tension. i am not familiar at all with these cable clutches.
