Just getting some Visual Feed back
i get so PO'd when i see cars just getting trailored everywhere. especially when people have put so much tome and money in there cars and theyd be so much fun to drive.
when cars were first made, they were made to be driven, not to sit on trailors going down the highway behind a truck

When I go to car shows I like to see the cars that are daily drivers, or at least get driven. It is a shame that most of the cars at show will never see pavement. I feel the same way about 4X4s. I see these nice trucks on the road that someone put alot of money in a lift kit and tires but they never see the dirt. I say if you have it drive it and enjoy it.
Wow if only you could see my car when I took it to its 1st car show!!!! puddy on it dirty looking engine no head liner stopped running and had to push it in to place. BUT the nextcar showit had a few things done to it..... so on and so and so on. It is fun for me and everyone else to see it slowly come along. They love that kind of stuff last year I spent a total $1000 at most on my 65 stang. I didn't have that to spend trust me. I always took it to the car show that theyhave every 3rd sat of the month so i got to know the other owners and they knew my car.
Be proud of what you got and don't rush it. Do everything right. So will have a perfect (in your eyes) car 2 or 3 years down the road.

My car looks like crap from less than 20 feet, heh. The clearcoat's half flaked off, and what's left is ingrained with dirt spots. But it runs and sounds great and still gets comments at the gas station
Plus, it's the only car I have, so I kinda have to drive it

As long as your car is road worthy and you trust it not to break down drive it.The 65 impala i had i did one of those drive it as you restore it kinda things it was primered up for almost a year.
it is definitely okay. Personally, it kind of pisses me off when I go to car shows that allow nothing but the best cars in. That gives the wrong impression of the hobby. It makes it seem like only 60 year old guys with tons of money can own old cars. Plus, I love the cars that are "in progress". My mustangs first and only car show was the first time it had driven in months and it barely started and the radiator overflowed all over the place when I got there, but it was still an awesome experience. I cant tell you how many people told me they loved it and how it reminded them of their mustang back in the 60s and stuff like that. Plus, its an opportunity to meet people who can give you tips and maybe help you out with some stuff.
