Default eng. price

Going to selling a 289 and a I6 engines. Both are mostly apart and from 66 Stangs. Just wondering what a fair asking price is for each?

Hi, this is probible one of those times where value is in the eye of the beholder. maybe 200-300 for the 289 if it is complete. If its all apart maybe 100. And about 100-150 for the six. You can try and check out ebay and craigslist for similar items.

What state do you live in? I need parts for my I6 and am willing to buy a engine in decent shape. I'm between Baltimore, Annapolis (Maryland) and Washington DC.

I sold my six complete with 3-speed for 400, I bought my 351W complete with a 4-speed for 450. I guess it all depends on what you got?

I was offered 1000.00 for a complete 289 last month when I was looking at a 351w. Turned him down simply because I don't have the cash to rebuild the 351 the way I'd want it and the 289 runs fine for now. It all depends on where you live and whats around in that area. Up in Canada where my car is a 289 is pretty rare and 800 to 1000 isn't surprising. I really should buy 1 or 2 while I'm home and take up with me next month.
