Don't even talk to a girl that doesn't like classic cars. I finally found one that only dated guys with cool cars, Mustangs especially. I've been married to her for over 15 years now...

Well, now... I'll have you all know that my '68 fastback has been manual steering for 10 years now--4 of those years, I fought the ram, too. It never had power brakes. I know I'm one of few exceptions, but don't discount the ladies. Even at my tiny size, where there's a will, there's a way.

I love the funny license plate idea, but yeah, I'd still drive the car...like I stole it, too!

Ahh,Your one of those rare jewels indeed.
My wife can out drive most guys I know.
She loves speed and I have to keep her somewhere closer to the speed limit when Im with her.
Talking about our mustangs on line is how we met in the 1st place.

As far as her driving my mustang I guess that day will come.
We(means our 12 yo son and I) started tear down on 65 fastback this week. So ill be wanting to drive one of her mustangs also.
I trade the Caddy keys for 04 gt now and then. The only thing I refuse to let her drive is my zx10 Nija... way to much power 280 hp on a 350lbs frame.
That thing can go faster than your reflexes or brain can process the speed. NOT KIDDING it insane!

The truth of the matter is that I see very little if any difference in ability to drive based on gender as a whole. Anyone honest about the situation has to agree with me.. but, in a general waymen and womendrive differently... I will have to admit that overall, my wife has statistically proved to be a better driver than I when the entirety of each of our driving life (and driving record)is considered...

I have to admit that thesedifferences make me cringe (I used this word to get the thread back on track) as a passenger from time to time.. and I might say things like: "Are you going to drive completely into that guys back seat or are you going to stop in thetrunk??"

And to give credit where it is due, my wife fully supports and enjoys our automotive endeavors, even if I make her cringe at all the money I spend...

Many years back I had a 1971 Corvette with manual everything, and to prove your point, my wife had no problem driving this car!

+1 When Iride with my wife I stomp the floorboard with my right foot looking for the imaginary brake! But she drives the stang too, it has power steering and when I put disc brakes on it I put in a booster so it has power brakes too. She rarly goes above 55 mph in it. But she did call me once at work asking me where the horn was. She told me she needed it.[:@]LOL, at least she knows how much that car means to me, and is a very carefull and good driver.

I'm so glad I chimed in... You guys are great! That's why I come here.

Yeah, men and women do drive differently... I tend to cringe most when my husband drives in the middle of the road around blind turns. He tends to cringe when I drift around those blind turns, but stay in my lane. I, too, have the better driving record, but when we're both in the car, I always let him drive...unless he wants me to.

LOL The very first time I needed the horn in my car, I couldn't find it either! I'd thought the bar was just for looks!

I would have never thought that a thought at the inn would have turned into this thread.... just funny development...

I also think women and men drive differently, I was thinking about it but most of the girls I know I would drive with them in a car because i know they will drive normal (I like to be in the drivers seat the majority of the time I just feel like I have more control over what is happening), where as there are some of my friends (males) that I would not get in there car because I can equate it to suicide![sm=helpout.gif]

Girls do get a bad wrap for being bad drivers, I had to park a girls car the other night... simply because she could not park on the side of the street, but whos fault is that obviously she had a bad teacher or a lack of motivation to drive.... i am not sure which.[8D]
