Default She's in!

We wedged her in today. When I say wedge, the headers are touching the passenger shock tower and the driver's side is touching the steering box. The back of the oil pan is about 3/16" from the cross member. I had 4 guys and myself (under the car) doing the job. It went pretty smooth with all the help. I was lucky they just happened to show up. I got the exhaust bolted up, the drive shaft in, the linkage for the top loader put back on. I will try to get her running in the next few days. I will post progress pics.

And of course, there's always one of these.

sounds really nice. I'd say it's trouble when the headers are hitting. My engine turns quite a bit when I hit the accelerator
Any ideas on what you're going to do? and what kinda engine did you wedge into your car?

Well.... we "modified" our headers with a hammer.... they fit great now!!

Certainly not the "right" fix.... but it was effective.... and cheap....

Depending where the headers hit the shock tower, you can cut the shock tower out and recess it to give you more clearance for engine movement. I dunno what to say about the steering box.

How come you had the rearend jacked up to install the engine?
