Default Clutch Adjustment

I just finished my T5 swap and adjusted the clutch the other day. In order to disengage the clutch I have to tighten the cable until the clutch pedal is 4 INCHES above the brake pedal... It also doesnt disengage until the pedal is almost at the floor..This cant be right,Is there some sort of pedal stop that an automatic car would be missing.

also will the diaphragm loosen up over time.

No, certainly not right. There's got to be lost motion somewhere. Have someone watch the movement of the fork while pushing the pedal. Should be almost instantaneous. If not, maybe the fork is cracked, or the cable is not moving ina linear way.

What clutch are you using? And are you certain it is now adjusted properly, ie it engages/disengages properly?

The clutch is A superior ( Came with Modern Driveline Kit). As far as adjustment, I tightened it just enough to allow it to disengage when I depress the clutch pedal

Thats what I dont get, when the pedal was set at the correct height, I watched the clutch fork and it DID immediately begin applying pressure to the pressure plate, however it wouldnt disengage the clutch.

Possible that the disc is in backwards?
