Can a '66 be a Sprint AND an HCS?
Can a '66 be a Sprint AND an HCS?
As far as buck tags go for 66 models I have never seen one an any car built at the San Jose plant. Whether that means anything or not I have no idea but I have not seen one on any of my cars or cars I have stripped or looked over in salvage yards. I seem to remember someone telling me at one time that San Jose did not use buck tags but I have no way to confirm that.

As far as I know, all Mustang received build sheets. The challenge is finding one still in place and legible after nearly 40 years! They're typically wrapped and taped to the wiring behind the instrument cluster; somewhere under the carpet; or tucked up in the headliner. From what I've seen and heard, the ones in the headliner have the greatest survival rate. But of all the Mustangs I've owned, I've never come up with one...
Yep, they are rare as hen's teeth, but some have been found. Not very legible though. I was just trying to add some other place to look for some numbers to determine if this was a High Country Sprint. Ford can't help, Marti can't help. So, without a buck tag or a build sheet, I guess we'll just close this case, and call her "Majesty," the mysterious find.
Oh,l and BTW, Buck tags were used in both the Metuchen and the Dearborn plants and not the San Jose. They are usually located right on top of the shock towers.
