I think you have a 68, judging by your other posts, so it may vary from my 66.

There are a bunch of clips I had to take off around the heater box, and maybe a bolt? (i did this a while ago). After the front was off you could see the heater core. I removed the hoses from the engine and the with lots of coaxing, got the heater core out. I replaced the whole heater box and the foam and rubber seals at the same time (I actually didnt replace my core, but cleaned it and stuff). I got new hoses, cut them to the correct length, and put them back on the core. After that I pretty much worked backwards.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Hi. I did this job on a 65 Mustang. It isn't too bad. Getting hte plenum out of from under the dash, and then back under that dash and all hooked up is the hardest part. So yeah, you're gonna be on your head for a while. I hope you have skinny fingers.

If you want, it will prolly help to take out your passenger seat. Its not that hard and will give you more room.

i did it upside down,.........when i used to be able to bend that way. it was easiest upside down,.........legs going up in the air. noadays, i'd say it would be easier, to pull the whole thing, and so it that way. wasnt that smart when i was younger i guess..........was more of a challenge upside down!
