Default 65/66 Convertible

I am finally getting to fulfill my dream and buy a 65/66 convertible. I am happy to do whatever work is required but that is not the problem. I am currently living in Dubai and will have to import one and so will probably have to buy unseen. How do I know who to trust? Are there people who would inspect for me? Pretty much impossible to fly over and inspect all available!I will eventually take it back to Australia with me so tell me if you know of one available.
Thanks
Alan
PS.[X(] other option is to go out and buy a 2008??

I dont know of any around here, but I'm sure if you find one in the States, you could find a member here that can check it out for you. I know if you found one near me, I would be more than happy to inspect it. Just start looking and I'll keep my eye out too. Good Luck and Welcome to the Site!!!

If you find one in Houston, I'll be happy to go check it out and take some pictures.

pay to have it taken to a car dealership, ford,...chevy,...etc...and inspected. probably cost 100 to 150 maybe, on the high end, any person selling it, that wouldnt want to do that,................probably is not very interested in selling it to you, hiding something, or scared of all the scams in today's world. lots of bs coming from foreign countries, trying to deal in cars, etc, lots of nigerian bank scams, etc.
look on ebay, and ask lots of questions. another thing, is you might try to find someone who will let you buy all the other parts and stuff you need, and have them put inside the car, when you have it shipped,...........that way you dont get murdered on freight for autoparts. everything is airmail now freight wise, cars probably not, so you could load it down with goodies, and save hundreds and thousands of dollars on freight for extra parts you need/want.
lots of deals on ebay, it's a good market judge.

Thanks for replies. Will probably have to add cost of air fare if I see one I like. As for scams, we get plently of Nigerian bank offers here too. I am currently a multi billionaire according to e-mails I get

yep! me too! i've won the U.K. national lottery 4 or 5 times now, and helped transfer funds for about 30 tragedy stories in africa,....amazing, how friendly those people are, after going through so much,.....transfering 30 million dollars to me, a total stranger,.......and TRUSTING me,........a totally unknown to them. first thing i do, is convert all that cash into gold, silver, and diamonds,.............then i take it out in the back yard, and bury it,..............my yard looks like the battle of verdun now,......with all that dirt, bunkers, trenches, etc..............
hope your mustang turns out to be worth the dream! ;
i sure like mine!
