Wheels deviation
ORIGINAL: cristicp
Hello!
we have to take out also the alignment cause. i went to a shop and they took care of the aligning. they couldn't find either any possible cause. they said that wheels are the same, and they are out of the question.
I am beginning to get desperate.
What if the car was involved in a major accident and there;s nothing to do?

edge of the spring. Is it the same on both sides. Can you post more pictures, specifically of the front suspension
and rear axle and springs? This is certainly interesting.

well, i looked for the offset issue but it is not the cause. the wheels are Hot wheels sixty eight 17x9 all 4, with the same offset (lip). anyway i have noticed that on the front end using 9' wide rims is not the best solution as the upper ball joint is getting to touch the tyre ( the tyres are bf goodrich kdws 245/45/17)
so i guess we still have the dilemma. i attach here pics of the left and right front wheels to see the deviation.
please let's dig together and solve the issue.
thanks and i appreciate very much your efforts

So for backspace you measure from the outside edge of the inner lip to the hub mounting surface.

i have understood correctly how to measure the backspace. in fact, i used quite the same diagrams. i will try tomorrow to do the X measurement and post more pics of the suspension. anyway i don't think that it is a manufacturing flaw of the car. i have to figure it out somehow cause here the roads are pretty bad and i'll ruin the fenders.
thanks
thanks
