^^^^it all depends on how you beat on them.. I've run low 11's in my 85 gt with a t-5 and no probs

 

do you still have the toploader?

 

I didn't have a toploader in my 66.. it had a t-10......I hated the tall first gear and close 2nd and 3rd gear and forth was for cruising..but then again I had 2.80 gears then I went to 3.50's but then on the highway the r's were to high for my liking so I switched to the t-5....I had even rebuilt my t-10 now it sits on my garage floor

 

how strong are the t-10's?

 

they are strong...how fast is your car?? my 66 ran a 13.69 with it @ 103 on street tires... so with the t-5 now and a set of slicks I should be able to run low 13's.........I just don't like the ratios of it and no overdrive
