Default Intake Manifold bolt length?

Let me start by saying this board has been a great help in my first Ford mustang project.

I recently had some posts about milky oil after running the car first time. I purchased a great running 68 J code and replaced the cam, lifters, intake manifold etc, etc. After a good 15 mins of driving I noticed some white smoke coming out of the breather. I pulled the intake manifold and noticed one of the intake gaskets had slipped just a bit, not much. While I had the intake out I did a compression check and all was pretty even 178-185 with the exception of one cylinder which was 168. So I am semi ruling out a cracked head gasket. The motor not got hot, nor was there any white smoke out of the exhaust.

I want to make sure my intake bolts are the right length just in case. Can someone give me some info?

Thanks again!

Default RE: Intake Manifold bolt length?

Can't help you on the bolt but just cause you have good compression doesn't mean your head gasket is ok, there are gasket areas that don't touch the cylinders but do touch the water jacket.
Anyway if the problem wasn't there before the cam and IM change its likely you have a problem with the IM gaskets and you should probably pull the IM and change the gasket cause it is a little tricky. (I believe there was some tips in apost within the last month or so on how to get it right.) good luck
