Default Voltage Regulator testing....

what is the easiest way to test a voltage regulator in a 67 to make see if it's still good? My alternator harness shorted out and messed up my battery, but i wanted to test the regulator to make sure i wouldn't have to replace the whole harness that runs to the headlights and foglights.

Thanks for the help

I don't know how to test it but I have a suggestion. If you have a mechanical one go ahead and replace it with a electronic one if you are not keeping the car completly stock. For my 66 it cost me about 12 bucks and solved my lights flikkering problem.
