Wheels/Tires to pick?
there are some 185/70 (check for the ratio as well) that you might fit on a 7" wheel.
but that's really really stretching it. i wouldn't do it.
let's say you have 185s, then they're just about 7" wide. Think about it. a near baloon tyre that is as wide as the rim.
on such tyres the thread is more narrow then the widest opening of tyre, which ends up being slimmer than the wheel width ...
nahhh ... i most certainly wouldn't do that
are those tyres so special that you want to keep them?
If you find manufacturer and exact size you might be able to look up the recommendations

I think I might have found a solution. ::sound the trumpets::
If I can gather up about $300, i can get all of my gaskets and brake hardware for the rear, brake lines, and the ball joints for the front. Then, maybe during one weekend I can get the 8" swapped into the rear, and the discs put up front. That would then allow me to just have four 5-lug wheels (like a normal person should
)
That then eliminates the whole 7" / P185 problem. Sure would be nice if the govt. would send me that $600 they promised me.
