ORIGINAL: Soaring

BTW everybody, Mustang Sally is a guy. Anyhow, nobody can answer that question for you. That is just something you are going to have to decide. If it is really cherry, I personally would keep it cherry, and get an old worn out cheap body to resto-mod. But, that's just me. Yeah, I like county music.....
In this case I would certainly have to agree with Soaring. My car has been torn apart before, cheaply repainted, broken pieces, etc; A blank canvas, in effect, so it is much better for modding. If I had a car that was much closer to original I would try to stay with that and bring it back to factory specs.

And I like country and rock[sm=smiley16.gif][sm=smiley20.gif]

Ha...you guys crack me up. I must confess, I ordered some parts yesterday. Nothing to crazy. Power brakes, headers, flowmasters, have an edlebrock 4b, poly susp, and steering. Will keep you posted on the progress. Any suggestions on the wheels and tires?

Again, on the tires and wheels, that's a personal thing. I really like my 15" Mag 500's and my Goodyear tires. There are tons of good looking wheels out there, so dig around with Google to decide. Also, go to www.tirerack.com and see what they have there that interests you.

Do you have any offset on the wheel?

I tried tirerack, but they said they didn't have options for my year of car. I have ordered several catalogs from the various aftermarket places and am browsing through them as they come in.

Catalogs I have to compare prices are:

Mustangs plus

Cal-mustang

CJ Pony Parts

Virginia Mustangs

And probably a couple others I forgot.

Do you have any offset on the wheel?
I think most early mustangs are 4 1/2" backspacing
