Default pushrods lifters

I recently acquired a 351C from a 73 Cougar. This motor has less than 5000 mi on a rebuild but it sat for six years ,but still runs GREAT ! I was pulling the 2 bbl intake off to replace with the Edelbrock Performer Thats supposed to be on it ( my brother in law said he couldn't afford the gas ).When I pulled the intake I found a bent pushrod and broken lifter. To the best of their knowledge its bored .20 over with a performance cam 300hp. I am just lookin for any suggestion as to what I should replace these with . I am going to do a complete pushrod lifter set .Thanks for any help

if the rest of them are fine just replace those two. why is the pushrod bent though? did the lifter collapse and then the pushrod bent? did a valve stick and cause it to happen?

did it run with the bent push rod and broken lifter?

and you should only replace the 1 bad lifter cause if you get all new ones then you have to break them in. and the new ones arnt matched with the cam in terms of rubbing and wear.

You better start looking for the cause or you may just end up replacing the parts again.

+1

Definately find the cause. And yes, there are 2 piece valves where the head is welded to the stem and that's usually where they beak.
