i had a 98 chevy s-10 for a couple of months and one day at work i locked the keys any and no one had a copy so we tried to use a slim jim and it wouldn't work. then again we are talking about an old mustang so i guess thats not important

1.Take the tires off and put your car up on blocks.
2.Get mean dog.
3.Don't leave you car.
4.Some how lock your brakes to where only you know how to unlock them.
5.Take you coil wire with you.
6.Get a car cover that makes it look like a Yugo.
7.Put some fake blood on your car and an AIDS sticker on it.
8.Take the front seat out.
9.Get sticker that says "IED".
10. Take the gas tank with you. Gas is worth more then mosts cars now.

Im assuming you used a universal slim jim? My friend towed for half a year, and part of that job was doing lock-out calls. He had a kit that had a bunch of different types, for different models, makes and years. He could have gotten into any car he wanted. If a theif really wants to get your car, they will get the correct tool, and they will do it, assuming they know what they are doing.

Hey since we are talking opinions here is my .02 (but I want the change back). I have always felt there are 3 kinds of theves. Pro, amature and crimes of oppertunity. You can't stop a pro theif. Lock your doors and keep the keys with you and you stop the crimes of oppertunity. As for the amature theif anything you do to make your stuff more secure than the guy parked next to you will send him next door. I like the kill switch idea but you will have busted glass, trashed interior and a keyed paintjob because the guy was ticked he couldn't steal it. I think the best idea is something visual like the club or an alarm because before they even try to steal your car they know it is tough and hopefully they move on to the next car. As for getting in, it took me under 30 sec. with a coat hanger on a 98 caravan, and I was half in the bag (I do think it was 90% luck though

Talking about wheel theft, I have a special tool for one lug nut on each of my wheels on my 03 Mach1. I don't have that on my 65 with the Mag 500's. Is there a place I can get the special nut and wrench from that will fit my 65 lugs?
