Default parking brake cable needs modifying

Hi all,

I've got the new rear axle in, only missing U-joints and a plan on what to do with the handbrake.
original setup was a 6cyl drum at back and the new system is discbrake with intrenal drum.
On the new system the parking brake lever is outside hook, the old was inside.
That's not the problem, but the end of the parking brake cable I need modified.

have a look at attached diagram (yah i know) as I couldn't explain it with words :-]

Could always modify the new system to accept the **** from the old system. Without seeing it I'm thinking you could drill or weld something to the new system?

it's a ty least an idea to modify the new system instead of modifying the cable.
I'll be there later and if I can't come up with anything, I'll take pictures

How about using the cables from the new axle and see about attaching them to the rest? Would that be easier?

the new axle is brandnew, so there's no old cables that I could have used :-(
I'm thinking about fabricating clips, have a good idea, but don't know yes if it works.
I'll make pictures ... It's impossible to explain ... :-(

hossa !!!!
the seller (quickperformanceracing) found a solution:
http://www.lokar.com/product-descrip...levis-kits.htm
I'm going with a full cable set though. But if anyone ever comes up with the same question, this seems to be the solution.

BTW the disc brakes that I have are the ones similar to Ford Explorers.
It's FRPP part# M-2300-G
It fits perfectly on the 9" axle housing I bought from QPR.
I'll write up a bigger article on that as soon as car is on the road, so I can verify what I'm saying ... :-]
