fuel gauge :(
so it's been working fine, but tonight i started it up, the gauge was fine. car wasn't warmed so when i let off it died. i started it again and the needle went all the way past full. i can guarantee it's not full. anyway, after shutting the car off it slowly returned to E but as soon as i flipped the key on it shot up past full again. the fuel sender is new and all that jazz so i don't get why it'd do that unless theres a fuse or something that i don't know about. anyone had this problem?
I had and have this problem in my 65 from time to time. When ever mine goes haywire and goes above full, I have to reach my hand up behind the dash and wiggle the wire going to the guage. It's one of those connectors that push over the post and it must loseit's contact for some reason, so I just spin it and the problem is solved.
