Default which Throwout Bearing?

i am converting my 66 to a t5 while i have the engine out. i bought a new centerforce dual friction clutch. i dont think i recieved the correct t-bearing. the part # i recieved is n1439. it doesnt seem to fit or even look right. i recieved a leaflet about t-bearing # n1714 for all ford vehicles.

anyone the correct one i should be using?

because the throw out bearing on a T5 stays in constant contact with the clutch fingers the bearing is specific to the pressure plate. Most T5 clutches use the stock bearing, but the dual friction may use a different one. As long as it fits in the T5 fork, I would use the one that came with the clutch. You didn't mention pilot bearing but in case you do not have one yet the correct one to get is for a 5.0 Mustang. You can tell the parts Monkey to sell you one for a 1985-93 Mustang and you will be good to go. the bearing will stick out of the crank by about 1/8" but it will still work just as designed.

my reply was an educated guess based on what I know about T5 clutches. At this point your best option is to call centerfource. If the stock bearing will work, they well tell you.
