Last Check 68 S/D
Last check before i finally drill the holes i drew my outline and made my self a stencil. i went to a local hardware bought 1/2' bolts and used a piece of scrap metal and did it, when i finalize it i will use 1/2" drill to do the hole i see that the 17/32" drll is a little bigger irather have my holes same size as the factory one's. Here are some pics but i need some opinions if this looks correct to do the Shelby Drop.
This is the drivers side. (and from what i seen it looks identical to the passengers side)
will i need any other specific suspension parts or can i just drop in the U/C when im done?

well i dont anticipate much of a drop im basing it on what other people say better handling. i just did the drop 1" from where is said it had to be and guessing is giving me about 1/2' or less.
I Just want to make sure if this looks correct and if i will need any other things when i install the U/C.
.........??

I am assuming it is a 67????? If so near as I can tell from the picture it looks good. 1" down from the original holes is where you want to be. After you drill the pilot holes I would measure again and make sure they are the correct distance apart. As far as the 17/32" drill bit the reason you go bigger than 1/2" is so that the UCAs can be easily removed, not as big of a deal on 67 and up cars sense alignment is no longer done with shims. One thing I would recommend is prior to installing the UCA place a nice thick washer on the front bolt of each UCA so that it fits between the UCA and the shock tower. Do this on both sides and make sure the washers are the same thickness. this will increase caster and make it easier to get more caster when aligning the car.
BTW if at any time there is a post you want me to take a peek at and I have missed pleas don't hesitate to send me a PM drawing it to my attention

Thanks Daze Ur help and comments are appreciated. i needed a little boost as to know if i was doing it correctly thanks again.
and my car is a 68 so i know that the 67 and 68 are identical.
as far as the washers go each bolt the uca has did have a washer in the outer shock tower by the engine bay if thats what u mean..

The washer you mentioned came with the car, the washers I am talking about are extra. Put it between the UCA and the shock tower on the front bolt only. this will ever so slightly shift the ball joint towards the rear which will increase caster.

Do you reccommend the addition of the washer to the front UCA bolt only on those with the shelby drop (still assuming 67-68 Mustang)?
