does this sound right,

i am trying to check my transmission fluid.

car is warm, idling, in park

fluid on dipstick is foamy, full of air bubbles.

does that sound right

 

sounds like your testing it right

but mine was never foamy even when it if it got a qt low it was always clear

 

Foamy is not good.
Is it milky? Does it have a burnt smell? How does it shift?
It should be translucent red. If it is milky, sounds like you have water in it from the cooler.
If it is foamy it may be overfilled.

 

i guess foamy is the wrong word.
there is no white, its just real bubbly
