I can confirm that brake fluid is a very effective paint stripper. I had a self-inflicted lesson, as rmodel65 discussed...

I got the DSRP kit as well and didn't know what to do. So of course, I just screwed the plugs in and filled it up. I then had my son hold it as I pumped it and voila, it was done in a minute or two - the bubbles came so I pumped it until no more bubbles and put it in the car (we had this outside the car). Installed it in the car, bled the brakes and off we went, no worries. First time I had ever seen the plug method.

Got her in.. But.. when taking it out I sucked all of the fluid out of the old M/s and then pulled the brake pedal off with the top off of the m/s.. So I had little splatters of brake fluid all over the engine compartment.. I didnt think that stuff would strip paint the way it does.. wow..
