Default no more 351 :(

well, i got in a brave mood the other day and finally decided to actually take the oil pan off so i could check the bearings and such. well.. i took the pan off and there weren't any shavings so i was like uhh what the hell.. but there was a little plug in the pan.. but onto the crank. i checked the mains and the rods and everything was perfect, nothing was ate up. i rotated the engine and saw some slight polishing on the #4 cylinder wall but no scratches, or anything - everything else looked fine. asked my dad then we asked his buddy who's been in the racing biz for over 40 years. first thing out of his mouth "oil galley plug" i was like ok.. i told him what the car was doing, knocking etc. i thought it was a bearing or a lifter. he said the plug came out, dropped oil pressure on the passenger side and that is why it was making a knocking sound. told me to pop a new oil galley plug in and go on about my business the engine was fine..

now i'm upset cus i no longer have an excuse for the wife to tell her i need a 351 [:'(][:@]

you could always throw a handful of nuts and bolts into one of the cylinders..

nah it'll last quite some time - just makes me upset in a way - i thought i had a way out. i shouldn't of gone to check it.. i shoulda just let it sit there and be like 'yeah it doesn't run, motor blown' but.. i was curious.. haha oh well.. 59 cent fix as opposed to a 1000.00 fix :|
