Default Motor Mount Torque Specs

I have a '66 200 I6 and I was just wondering if anybody knows the torque specs for the motor mounts? When the car Idles the engine shakes violently and then when you give it some gas and get into higher RPM the shakin stops. Somebody suggested to me that I check the motor mounts but I need the torque specs and can't find them anywhere. Thanks

You might want to check the timing and the plugs and wires too.

(all the fronts)
front insulator to engine.... 18-24 ft-lbs
insulator to support bracket..25-35 ft-lbs
Bracket to body.................. 20-28 ft-lbs
(all the rears)
insulator to rear support........25-35 ft-lbs
insul to support extension.......20-30 ft-lbs
rear trans support.................20-30 ft-lbs
rear suppt to body...............10-20 ft-lbs
insul to trans.......................20-30 ftlbs

It's up to you to find em all

Yeesh, I just use the 'calibrated wrist' for those Tight enough to where they won't back out, but not so tight they break, hehe.

Check the engine mounts for cracks too (if you haven't already), I liftedmy carand found some cracks in mine and swapped them out with the Ron Morris mounts. That fixed a little bit of the vibration problem that I had.

Motor mounts shouldn't cause it to "shake violently" at idle. If you don't have a wire out of order, you may want to check compression. Sounds like maybe a dead cylinder.
