Looking at my engine bay today, noticed that most of the blue paint was gone from the block, then I got looking closer at it and under the blue paint is purple paint. Could this be a primer that ford used, or did, at some point, an idiot paint the bare block purple?

I like fuschia.

Mabey the guy wanted to match or compliment the body color. Some peoples idea of a good look.
