289 vs 351w

We're gonna go get the 351w tomorrow along with a couple 9" rears, all with limited slip! With the 68 Shelby FB hood it looks to be about an extra 2" clearance (no cross bracing up in there) so hopefully that'll be enough.
It should be, like I said with a 3" cowl hood I still had about 1" clearance. Since you dont have the nos plate you should have plenty of room

We lost our engine lift as someone decided to use it and not return it so we're on hold for right now. Guy is holding it for me regardless, so I'll get down to grab it next week or so once we get the lift back.

Since we couldn't go yesterday we fitted the power brake booster, petals and got the hydraulic clutch master cylinder installed. Required a torch and a big hammer to "reform" a small section of the firewall and a bit of welding to the clutch petal but its installed level and straight.
