It should clean it. I just try not to use it so I don't have any problems. I know other hot rod builders that don't even buy it or use it because the faintest over spray will kill a paint job. I think they said that it has silicone in it and that is what effects the paint.

 

I feel your pain!!!! I sprayed a black spray bomb on a winshield once instead of glass cleaner. The worst part is I was showing the new clean up kid at work the process we used did i ever feel like an ID
