Default 06 17" wheels on 66 Coupe

I was curious if anybody has put the 17" new mustang wheels on their 66 and later Mustang? I am in the market to get new rims for my 06 and my Dad is looking to up the size on his rims to accomodate the disk brakes he installed. Any help would be appreciated.

It should work. If the tires are than 7 inches you might have to roll the fenders. I have 8 inch wide tires on 15x8 inch rims with 4.5 inch back spacing and I needed to roll my fenders. Ford hasn't really changed their bolt pattern as far as I know.

Check for a posting a couple days ago regarding S197 wheels (05+). I have a couple picts of my car on there. I think you need a 1.5 inch spacer for the front.

1.5 inch at least.. I have some on my 69.. If you look at CPRstreetmachines website he has a 67 (i think) with some 05 rims on it. Go 1.25 rear spacer and 1.5 front. Or just buy something else that will actually fit without spacers. If you have the money to do it, than that would be the best option.
