Default replacing wiring harness

I would like to replace all of the wiring in my 67 convertible while i have it taken apart. Has anyone installed a Painless wiring harness? Does anyone have any suggestions on other replacements? The Painless kits are about the same price as the factory underdash harness in Mustangs Unlimited.

I just got my Painless kit from summit last week. I looked at, very nice with directions. Each terminated end is marked where it goes. I will be putting it in whenever I get my car back from paint. Hopefully next month. I also got the wire wrap stuff that will make nice and clean looking.

I got the Ron Francis unit - if you don't mind doing all the connectors yourself, the aftermarket can be ok. Also, the fuse box on my Ron Francis unit meant I had to cut the kick panel (not a big deal but it meant I had to remove the vent.....). Aftermarket stuff always means starting down a path of modifications, if you are good with that or have alot of other accessories, go aftermarket. If you want to plug and play, go with the factory harness.

Yes the Painless harness is completely terminated. It is not a universal kit, it is the kit designed for the 67-68 mustangs. Comes with a gauge cluster too. I think mostwiring harnesses are the same. I mean its wire. It's not like it's different metal alloys, custom formed and heat treated, etc. If you are good with understanding electrical things, most harnesses should be relatively easy to install and understand. If you are not, most harnesses will kick your butt.
