family addiction
found some old photo graphs of my familys history with mustangs. not that many of you would care but i thought its interesting to see these cars back in the day
My grandfather came over from Italy in the late fifties early 60s and worked as a mechanic for the Miami Police Department, eventually becoming a supervisor and retired before he was 50. He always believed in fixing your own cars and helped restore my dads 67 289 coupe in the 70s and my aunts 70 coupe in the early eighties.
Aunts 1970 302(circa 1979)

Dads 67 289 coue(circa 1975-77ish)

please excuse the fading, these fotos havent seen air for twenty years.

Yeah my familys the same. I have owned.... 9 personally, picking up my 10th for the fiancee this week, my old man had 4, my mom has had 3 (her first car when she was 15 was a 69 S code mach) grandfather has had 60+ (including 4 boss 429s, 3 GT500s, and a one of a kind concept car) my uncle has owned 5-9 my other uncle has owned 12 or 13 and my aunt got a DUI which led to her spending 8 years in prison in a 68 fastback (they found some "contraband" in the car when they searched it)
So yeah, i hear what youre saying...
And those are some outrageous tires on ur old mans.

thats what they did back then, hahah
he tells me all the time about the story when he first got them and he crossed an uneven intersection and his rear end droped down and the fender wells cut off the white walls.
my dad had his 67, aunt had a 70, other aunt had a 69.
my first was a 2001 GT, the 70 mach1, the 66, the 87 LX coupe, and now the 67. i also have a 1973 F 100 pickup, not a mustang but a cool old truck, eventually i want to clean up and paint it to match the 67 when im done. weve owned the 73 since new.
(edit: thats my grandmothers 390 Torino in the back ground of the shot of my dads 67. he says that the 390 was no 428 but it sure lit up the tires like one. of course this is never in ear shot of my grandmother.)
