Default Left Turn Signal Won't Turn Off

Whenever I make a left turn my signal won't turn off. I can hear the steering wheel click when they pass the switch to turn it off but it never seems to hit it hard enough and I need to turn it off manually. Right switch turns off fine. I took the wheel off and checked the switch, everything looks fine and nothing is broken.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Possibly the switch is just worn? Have you replaced it ever?

You might not have to replace the entire switch. The turn signal arm is controlled by a small plastic cam. The left side is worn out so start by replacing the cam.

(cam above not mustang but similar)

Good luck.

The switch is only a few months old so I can't imagine it could have worn out that fast...

Did you make sure your steering wheel has the correct extrusion on it to shut off the left T/S cam?

I have a ford wood grain steering wheel but I'm using the extrusion from the original steering wheel. The one that came with the new wheel kept breaking the cam. If the wheel is turned so the ford symbol is right side up, at what position should the extrusion be on the back of the wheel?
