I'm a carpenter and I wouldn't do this for a number of reasons #1 being appearance. I just can't see it being anything but shocking.

There are ideas, and then there are good ideas.

Wood is for boats.

My wife likes my noughty wood. hahaa. I think it wood be unique. I was thinking of doing a faux finish with a nice sponge texture to my hood to reduce the glare.

Oh Oh! you ma wanna put some cutains in the back window in place of the tint. I saw that in a van once and thought it was cool.

is this the same guy who wants to put lambo doors on his restomod????

I'm with Oxnard...wood is for boats. (Anyone see the Top Gear episode where they put a 200hp outboard on the back of a toyota pick up? I dont think the mach would floatas well.[8D])

whatever, its your car and IMOa mighty fine looking example. but I think the car will be soembarassed if you do this she may never start again.

Shiver me timbers.

Then it's time to get your project underway.

I know someone who knows someone who can get a great price on some naughty wood.
BTW, I have been drinking.

Like I said before, I think it is a crazy project to undertake and I just cannot see how one could do it and make it look good. Honestly, your car is so badass from the outside.... but yeah, it is your car so if you are determined to do it, you might make all the haters eat their words. I don't think of myself as a "hater" but I just think it is a bad idea.
Sorry, just being honest. Not trying to be an *******.

Someone mentioned shocking...

I think it would be different. Are you thinking of using tongue and groove or attempting it with paneling. I think it would be difficult to accomplish but it may look alright. Definitely post pics of how you do itand keep us posted.
