Default No start

Ihave a 65 coupe with a 302, C4and it wont start. I have jumped the relay to see if it would crank over and it does, but when i try it with the key it wont start.I have the trans. in park and still nothing.I just recently took the engine and transmission out to fix the trans. and while i took that out i also took thegauge cluster. Does the gauge cluster have anything to do with the ignition? There are some wires coming from the trans and i dont know what they are, if anyone could tell me it would be helpful.

Thanks
Robert

double check the neutral safety switch connections at the trans. If that connection is not intact you will have the exact problems you described

ohh,,, Do you have a Hanes manual? Mine is at home right now.. Someone might be able to help you out with a wiring diagram. Maybe check the FAQ section.
