les swab, firestone and brakes
so heres the story, i was working on small stuff on my car and have noticed the my front drum brakes are sticking a little bit on each side. the tire spins about three quarters of the way around, then sticks the rest of the way. its enough to notcied when im just drifting in first gear. im gonna go get my drums turned some time this week, but i was wondering if anyone would recomend any of the chain places instead of machine shop. just trying to save some $$
Quality is location dependant as far as chain shops go. Some places may have good techs, some places may have really crappy techs. No real way to know beforehand, unless you know someone that has repeated work done at a specific store.
I can't see anyone charging more than $15-20 to turn a drum off the car, though. It only takes 5min to set up the lathe, then the tech can walk away and do something else.
